A LETTER TO DAD AND MUM ABOUT THEIR CHILDREN
Luke 18:16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Allow little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Dear daddy and mummy, don’t stop your children from coming to Christ.
Don’t think they are going against your will, if indeed you know they are doing God’s will.
Don’t be adamant about them fulfilling your purpose you could not fulfill on your own when is so glaring that God has another purpose for them.
When you stop them from going to Jesus you are simply handing them over to the devil.
If you don’t want them to be Jesus freak or children, you are only isolating them from the good God. Remember Jesus is there as a good Shepherd(to care, keep, tend, protect and bless ) but the devil as the thief(to loot, kill and destroy). Trust the truth, when you let Jesus have them, then, He cares, keeps, tends, protects and blesses them making them blessings to you, themselves and the world.
You are there to show them the way. Show them the ones that lead to Jesus not the ones leading to the devil. They will learn better if you tread the way with them. But if you tell them a thing and you do another you are simply teaching them that which they see you do, not that which you say. They learn better by examples than by instructions.
When you think they are too young to understand, they are already assimilating things they can see been done around them. Do not think they are not aware of the surrounding, they do better than you. When they ask strange questions do not just shun them, instead, pay attention to any link the question might have with them better still probe the link.
Like we do not know that we are training them for us to have peace later in life, for them to be able to live well and for them to be blessings to the world around them and not liability.
Trust me God owe you a payback on how well or bad you raise is heritage.
Psalms 127
3 Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that has his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate
Training a child well reduces world problem and not doing so add more to world problems.
As you train them, give their heart to Jesus and let them know Jesus as they know you, even more if I may say so.
You can hold them by hand but cannot hold their heart. You can hear what they say but cannot hear their thought. You can influence them but cannot manifest them. You can be around them but only one side at a time. You can monitor them but cannot keep them from evils. So very early, turn them over to Jesus before the devil hijacks them. Take them on the path of God before they start testing the evil paths. Do not teach them any evil because they magnify the small things you teach them. You throw it in like a seed into their life which is a fertile ground where it becomes a tree.
Remember you are God representative to your children so be the good one and not the bad one because there are rewards from God the Givers of life.
