(Genesis 12:1-7, Luke 13:6-9, Hebrews 10:7, Hebrews 22:1-17, John 9:4)

We see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob function in their assigned time and place in God’s plan and will. Just as they had their assigned time and space in the history of God’s plan and will, so also, we have our assigned time and space in God’s plan and will.

It is possible that, before now, we have not viewed or considered our lives from this divine perspective.

How many of God’s plan that manifested in Abraham’s and Issac’s lives appeared to them as living in an assigned time and space in God’s plan? Did Isaac and Jacob really know their place and time in the history of God’s ultimate plan? Were they able to see their lives in the perspective of that mighty plan of God that stretches from their time on earth till now. It is easy for us to know all these because we are reading their stories, but remember that they did not have the luxury of knowing their ends from the beginning. They only lived in trusting and having faith in God. It is easy for us to see how the blessings of what they did correctly affects today’s generation and how the consequences of what they did wrong affects this generation. But was it that easy for them to know or understand?

They lived as the humans of their time. We are living as the humans of our time. How is the way we live like in God’s ultimate plan? How will how we are living now, which we think is personal, affect future generations? How much of our lives are we living contrary to God’s will and plan? Are our lives just personal to us or are they links connecting the past and the future in history?

Let us consider our ways and begin to trust God more. Let us return to Him, our Creator for directions. He promised to lead us right and He is always faithful to His promises. He loves us than we love ourselves. I pray that our minds be opened to understand God’s knowledge, love and care for us, in Jesus name. I pray that we run to God that love and died for us for instructions and leadings on how to live purposefully, in Jesus name.
