(2 Samuel 3:9-39, Luke 12:4-21, Isaiah 40:31, Psalms 103)
Men like Joab, Abner, and King Saul, were mighty but simple in the knowledge of God. Even though they saved many situations, they were not close to God. They seemed far from God. And when it came to a time when their mightiness and wisdom failed, there was no help for them from God.
Psa 28:7-8 KJV 7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. 8 The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
There is always at least a time in humans’ life when their strength, intelligence, and knowledge fail. You may check all mighty men and women in history, read about their lives carefully and you will notice that, at least, a time in their lives when their human strength or intelligence fail. Woe to such on the day of weariness, if their help is not God!

Know Him as the only unfailing Help on the days of weariness.
