Each went in the Spirit and the grace of their assignments.
Some moved mountains, another parted the seas. One like Elijah called down fire. Mighty wall fled before them.
Their days were as long as the fulfillment of their assignments or as long as they could go.
They fell, they rose. Were wounded. They had scars. They were strong, they were weak.
Yet they kept working. In their works they battled for the souls of others.
They made mistakes, just as Moses at Meribah. As Joshua to the Gibeonites.
Above all, the Lord our God, the Creator of the universe, God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit called them home.
Home to their ultimate REWARD – heaven. The kingdom of their God. Where they toiled for, where they laboured for, into it they entered and rest.
