(Revelation 4:1-11, Zechariah 1:9-11, Isaiah 45:4-5, Revelation 19:3-6, John 5:17)
God’s works in our lives are without ends. His works in the universe are done because of human beings. The air we breath was not the very one we were born with. We breathe in fresh air each time we inhale. He does continuous works in the skin of our flesh. As He continuously renews the skin, about hundreds of thousands of cells of the old (dead) skin, are shed, though unnoticeable to unaided eyes. He is always at work because of us – His image. One of the best things we can do to reciprocate such love and care is to live with praise unto His holy name. Our Praise is for His pleasure!
What He does in each person’s life may seem the same but they are uniquely different. This is showing Him being particular with every human. Even as siblings or identical twins. The Lord will be the last to give up on anyone. Of course, His giving up on someone marks the person’s irredeemable end. May this not be our portion in Jesus name. When human beings have written one off, the Lord is still at it, refining and remoulding. As the vessel fails again, He picks it up for another round of refining and remoulding. So, many times we have given Him thousands of reasons to forsake us yet He has not forsaken us. Hence, as long as we are alive it will be pleasurable to for us to live in praise to Him.
The Bible says my Father is still at work till now.
(John 5:17 KJV) But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
So, it may be coming to a brighter light, how we humans deprive God His due praise. We only become sensitive to it when we are praying or thinking, yet the Lord is always at work for our sake always. Most of us are only conscious of His works when we see them through physical things and comprehensible events. It is worst that even in physical things and comprehensible events, many still see more of their efforts than God’s providence. From this category, we see people who claim that they are “self-made” men and women. This is a title no one should boast of, not even the angels. The rules of success such people obeyed are God’s making. The mercy of God that came upon them may have been earned from previous generations that worked but could not savour the fruits of their labour. When such grace comes on anyone, his or her efforts are guided by grace and they yield a bountiful harvest. So, no reason is good enough to deprive the Lord of His praise. Hallelujah!
Let see below God’s providence on everyone.
A) Here we see God’s work for the entire world, leaving out no country and no race.
(Zechariah 1:9-11 KJV)
9 Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be.
10 And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.
11 And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.
B) Here, we see God’s work for Israel. Israel symbolizes Christians.
(Zechariah 1:12-13 KJV)
12 Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?
13 And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.
C) Here, we see God’s work for unbelievers.
(Isaiah 45:1-5 KJV)
1 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
4 For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me
Therefore, the Lord is the Most High over the earth, heavens and their inhabitants. All praise should be given to Him.
