(Ephesians 5:1-27)
Do not let your heart lead you astray. Do not let it give you false justification. You may feel alright doing certain thing that is against God and His will and your heart assures you that you have not done wrong. If your mind still condemns when you act wrong, it is still a great blessedness. You may be going against God yet think that you are still in good terms with him.Your mind(heart) is not the best test for justification. The best test for justification is the word of God. Do not let your wisdom pitch a tent for you against God. Subscribe every of your thought to the teaching of the Lord Jesus. Test your thoughts and actions in the light of the word of God. Soak yourself in His will and all other opposition in you will flee of your heart. If your heart is against God’s will and ways, making heaven will be difficult.

No one can make heaven in disobedience. The little accusation against Moses gave Satan some platform to lay claim to his body after death (Jude 1:9).
Why will you perish for the wrongdoings which your heart translates to you as being correct? If you exercise your right before everyone, will you also exercise it before God. You do not have any right against God’s will before Him. No lawyer will fight your case against your Creator. If God lay something good in your heart to do and you are convinced that it is from God. Even if doing it is not convenient, easy and it seems trampling on your right, please obey God first. Why will you disobey God and perish.
1Samuel 6:6 Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?
Why will you harden your heart to disobey God presumptously? For how long will He lead you with a rod? For how long will he keep redirecting your heart? Why will you not humble your hardened heart? For how long will your heart weary God’s mercy? When one wearies God’s mercy then He does whatever He decides; good or bad. When everyone humbles their hearts, God deals kindly with them.

However, when they resolve to hear God’s instruction but think it is too much for them to do, it brings them under mighty hand of God. When God rises to take vengeance for Himself nobody – be it prophet or apostle can stand in the gap.

If God put his will in your heart, pray about it to confirm it and be sure it is from the Lord. If it is difficult to carry out pray for strength to obey. Then just obey and see if one can perish because of obedience to God. Obedience to God does not bring damnation, it is disobedience to Him that brings damnation.

Brethren, commune within yourself, God is not a man that tells you to do something and forgets it while you delay doing it. He stands by His word.

Psalms 138:2b … for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name
Jeremiah 7:26
Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers

Moses was a prophet but did not escape God’s axe of judgment. Aaron’s and Eli’s children were ministers before Him yet he broke out against them. Judas was chosen by Him yet became an outcast. The Lord does not have a permanent favorite if at all He has one, except the person that obeys His instruction. We all know who God is, a God and not a man. Do not do what you just feel is right against God because it is a terrible thing to fall under His axe of judgment.
